"Oh my. I wonder what Arthur Conan Doyle thinks of this monstrosity? "Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson board the Titanic on its ill-fated maiden voyage, where Holmes is to carry out a secret government mission." This is not Sherlock Holmes at all. I grew up with the books written in the early 1900's, and I view these pseudo stories with dismay. Even the reviewers dislike these books."

"I know this got 4 stars from the Amazon hivemind, but overall it was not good enough to convince me to overcome my decidedly mixed feelings towards continuing iconic characters under different hands than those of the original creator. I wouldn't have kept reading Peanuts if someone else had taken over for Charles Schulz, either. "
