"I am not really a fan of Percy Jackson books and this books continues to be proof as to why. I felt I knew what would happen before I finished reading because of the whole destiny cliche. I did not find Percy interesting at all, he seemed like a generic hero. I delayed finishing the book, because of my lack of interest. I could have finished it in a week or two, but it ended up taking 2 months to read it. I almost forgot I even owned the book until I saw it laying on my couch. IT is not something I would recommend."

"Gosh, this is a hard one, because all of the Percy Jackson series is good. I do tend to agree that this is the best. Great for everyone, but especially good for kids who don't like to read - this will get them reading! That being said, they all are great, so I do recommend reading the entire series."

"I sort of liked this 4th addition to the Percy Jackson series, but I feel like the pace and quality of the storyline doesn't quite match its predecessors. There was not as much character development this time as in the last book. I was a little disappointed by this."

"I have not personally read the Percy Jackson series, though my younger sibling has and he specifically mentioned really enjoying this book. This one appeared to be the most riveting and exciting, really keeping you hooked on the series and anxiously awaiting the next book."
