"Sense and Sensibility is a famous novel written by Jane Austen in 1811. The above is a 2003 Penguin Classics publication of the novel. The book is a classic and famous however it is not clear to me what other books have been inspired from Sense and Sensibility. We are not told that."

"While looking for the best books inspired by Sense and Sensibility I was given Brightsea as a suggestion. I would likely not choose this book as the cover is totally unappealing and there are less than 5 reviews. While the price point is very good I don't think this selection would interest me at all."

"This books title over promised a lot. It's pretty much a boring slog through disconnected things that aren't set up well or pay off much. This doesn't provide a satisfactory follow up on Sense & Sensibility at all, it just ruins what was there."

"This book is about sisters who couldn't be more different from one another. The family has gone through a divorce, and each member of the family is trying to negotiate their new role. Each member has a very distinct personality, so everyone often seems intent on going in a different direction. But, do not be mistaken, this book is often light and amusing while, at the same time, hitting upon some real issues with which teens often have to deal. Also, there is the problem of falling in love -- with the wrong person, or so it seems. Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility seems to have been used as the springboard for this story, but this story takes place in Texas with sisters named Rivera, so you can probably tell that it is only very loosely based on Austen's book. You may start out liking one sister over the other, but don't be surprised if you change your mind several times before you finish the book. Anyone who has a sister, and even those of us who don't, will enjoy reading about them. Good read for teens and for those who have ever been teens!"

"I really enjoyed this book. Coming from a historical standpoint its spot on. Unpredictably-or is it with complete predictability?- they are neither what Margaret thinks they are. If the author was not seeking to immitate Austen's style and continue her story, I would sooner excuse any shortcomings. In itself, the story is not altogether without entertainment value. "

"This is a fun read that many teens will enjoy even if they are not familiar with Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. The modern setting serves as a great backdrop to the retelling of this classic novel. Indeed, I even think that older readers could enjoy reading this during the summer - a great beach read. Hopefully, it will inspire people to read Jane Austeen's original."

"When I saw that someone made a Manga version of Autens Sense and Sensibility I had to rush out to get it. I must have read the book over 50 times in my life. I loved this take on the story and the art work really makes you think of the story in a new but amazing way. It’s a great adaptation and I think I will look for more books like this soon."
