" This book was a nice spin off of Sleeping Beauty in a more detailed way for young adults. It steers away a bit the normal fantasy tale just highlighting the highs and lows and lovely parts and gives a more in depth feeling behind the storyline. I felt it dug deeper into the story and gave it more meat for a young adult to stay entertained versus a Disney fantasy. "

"Beauty Sleep: A Retelling of Sleeping Beauty is a wonderful book that retell the tales inspired by the old fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty in which the main protagonist had a cursed place on her and so she slumbers for eternity until a prince charming comes and wakes her up with a seal of a kiss. There is a lot of interesting characters in the book but there is also pointless ones that has no reason to be there. Although the book is a pretty good book to read sometimes it does drags on the story for a while. Would recommend if your interested in fairy tales."

"This is an interesting take on the classic Sleeping Beauty fairy tale! I enjoyed reading it myself, although I initially bought it for my granddaughter to enjoy. I always insist on reading the books before I gift them to her, in part to make sure they're thematically appropriate, but also because I really just end up enjoying so many of them! This one was certainly no different. One of the best."

"This is a very unique take on the Sleeping Beauty tale. The story revolves around a grandmother and her stories of the Holocaust - a very interesting approach. The connection with Sleeping Beauty was very vague at best. In all, it was a good book, but not an obvious link to Sleeping Beauty."

"This solution is adequate as it provides the author, genre, and publish date. It also provides a brief plot summary that helps inform the reader. Unfortunately, it does not mention anything about Sleeping Beauty. It would have been beneficial to include a blurb like "Gail Carson Levine has waved her magic wand over the old standby of "Sleeping Beauty", and created this version.""

"The Mermaid's Madness (Princess) is a reimaging of the classic story A Little Mermaid, as opposed to Sleeping Beauty. However, Jim C. Hines gives the story a darker theme in his version. Hines does a great job developing the characters in this book. The story is filled full of excitement and adventure."
