"This is a really fun book, if you're into fiction and like a bit of a scare from time to time then jump into this one head first. I would recommend starting from the beginning of the series and working your way to this book but you'll be fine starting here and in my opinion this is the best of the bunch."

"This book series is a a collection of light, easy to read mysteries. The Mystery of the Talking Skull , like all the other ones in the series, will delight kids who like a story that is nicely and neatly tied up at the end. Unfortunately, this particular entry is tied up a little too neatly. I won't spoil the mystery, but the explanation is a little implausible. However, for kids who like the Hardy boys/Nancy Drew series, they probably won't care."
