"Super inspirational and a great read. It's an older book, so it's somewhat out of date but the advice inside is invaluable. Every aspiring actor should read this."

"Stanislavski For Beginners is a comprehensive introduction to method acting and it's probably about as good as any basic beginning acting 101 course out there. It didn't transform me into an amazing actor but it helped me get the foot in the door."

"This is a wonderful book, although I think you could just use an online thesaurus for the most part. But otherwise if you need a physical book this has tons of great options."

"As an aspiring actor, I always look for as much information to help me learn and develop techniques that are useful throughout my castings. My acting instructor actually recommended a book called The Technique of Acting to our class. It's Stella Adler. Now I didn't know much about Stella Adler but after reading up about her and some of her infamous techniques, I knew I had to give this book a read. I wasn't disappointed at all. Now the book doesn't take your hand through acting techniques, as it gives more examples of experiences. What one should take from this book is that acting is an art. There's way more to acting then following an instruction manual or a recipe cook book. Learning about the experiences helped me to take and draw from my own life experiences and convey that into my art. It's truly a worthwhile read, just not for those who expect to be handheld walking into acting."

"There were a ton of great anecdotes and examples of how the "method" works, but since I'm not really an actor, it was a little tougher for me to swallow. The stories however, were fantastic, and I think someone who is serious about acting could definitely pick up a thing or two from this book."
