"I was looking for a way to poison my wife, who is just the worst. Since the whole #metoo movement, she's started trying to assert her rights and all that crap, whatever it's about. Because her family's the one with the money, I need a clean way to get rid of the shrew. Thanks to the Drunken Botanist, I've got some pretty darn good ideas on how I'm going to do it. Soon, dear, I'm replacing you with a much younger model."

"This book is incredibly educational. It's amazing what types of illnesses can be treated by knowing a bit of herbology. Note that while this is a wonderful book, it's not a complete replacement for actual medicine and doctor visits when necessary!"

"I've been interested in Herbology since I was a child. A relative of mine bought me The Triumph of Seeds for Christmas. While it's a good book and has a lot of really good information I wouldn't really call it a Herbology book."

"I love love love elderberries for flavor and for medicine. I don't forage them though - we're in the middle of a city and I'm not sure enough of my plant identifying skills to pick them. Probably we'd be fine, but you never know with us city-slickers. Anyway, I've been using the recipes with purchased dried elderberries and I'm one happy camper."
