"I don't think Nocturne, Opus 1 is a very good fit with the Christian romance genre. It is largely a Christian mystery thriller and while there is a relationship featured, it is far from the central focus of the book."

"Interesting look on how dating and marriage is carried out between Christians. I found it funny in parts and quite true. A little hard to get through but overall a good look of the viewpoints of young adults. It does have a lot of church references and Christian issues so you would have to be one to enjoy and engage in this book."

"Joshua Harris's first book, written when he was only 21, turned the Christian singles scene upside down...and people are still talking. More than 800,000 copies later, I Kissed Dating Goodbye, with its inspiring call to sincere love, real purity, and purposeful singleness, remains the benchmark for books on Christian dating. Now, for the first time since its release, the national #1 bestseller has been expanded with new content and updated for new readers. Honest and practical, it challenges cultural assumptions about relationships and provides solid, biblical alternatives to society's norm."

    #8I, Isaac Take Rebekah

    I, Isaac Take Rebekah

In the twenty-fourth chapter of Genesis a beautiful young woman offers assistance to a weary traveler and his camels, and out of that simple action, a marriage results-a marriage that offers profound lessons to couples today. Bible scholar and renowned speaker Ravi Zacharias draws five points critical to the long-lasting success of every marriage from the biblical story of the marriage of Isaac and Rebekah.

"Real love folds together both the emotions and the will," writes Zacharias. "Without the emotions, marriage is a drudgery; without the will, it is a mockery." Building upon that foundational truth, Zacharias goes on to explain the principles of seeking the counsel of others when finding a mate, cherishing your partner, remaining pure, becoming a man or woman of prayer, and, finally, risking everything in a relationship in order to experience God's ideal for love.

Couples everywhere, from those about to be married, to those who have been married for decades, will draw strength and wisdom for the journey of marriage as they learn from Ravi what it means to move from romance to lasting love.

"In January, my 10-year relationship had ended. We had got together three months after my 18th birthday and love had felt like fresh-churned cement being poured inside my shell; it oozed into every nook and cranny, then set. For my whole adult life, that relationship fortified me from the inside out. Then we broke up. So that’s how I ended up knocking on a stranger’s door: “dating” for the first time in my adult life. In the decade I’ve been off the scene, the advent of Tinder (which launched five years ago this September) has prompted, to quote anthropologist Anna Machin, “a wholesale evolution in the world of love”. Working within the department of experimental psychology at Oxford University, Machin has dedicated her career to studying our most intimate relationships, assessing everything from familial bonds to the sociosexual behaviour we engage in when looking for The One. “Tinder has simplified the mode in which a whole generation finds a partner,” she says. The app’s founder, Sean Rad, reduced the complex business of mating into a roll call of faces: swipe right on the ones you like the look of, left on the ones you don’t. A thumb-swipe has become an act of lust – and a lucrative one: this year, Tinder was valued at $3bn."
