"I'm not really big on historical fiction. Which is why I had never heard of “Enemy Brothers” or its author, Constance Savery, until one of my friends recommended it to me. It looked interesting but with it being labeled as a children’s book, it sat on my backlog list for months before I finally got to it. After reading I felt the need to kick myself because this is an awesome book! The chemistry and unconditional brotherly love portrayed between Dym and Tony is one of the best things I've read about in fiction. The characters and the plot has so much warmth. It's an amazing book!"

"I thought this is was tad fun but a little stale. The war setting with donkeys involved is a bit different and I can see how it's not really for everyone."

"This is a good fiction novel, with a solid background that introduces vast and faraway lands. It's quite a wholesome historical adventure, that has created a world all its own. An interesting story, captivating and really engages the reader."

"Bethlehem Books has published many good books, but Red Hugh, Prince of Donegal, has to be one of the most interesting. This historical fiction book may have been a bit boring for some, but I am very into titles like this and thoroughly enjoyed it."

"It seems like it is possible to find all the books by this publisher, but it might be considerably more difficult to rank them. Nonetheless, I think this is a solid book, though I would probably only get it for a young person that I knew was already displaying at least some interest in this topic. It might be a little obscure for someone not interested in history at all. Overall, it makes what might be a somewhat dry topic at least relatively interesting."

"Whether or not you consider this a nihilist novel all depends on whether you read the final (21st) chapter, which was omitted from the novel’s American edition when it was originally published. Then again, even after reading the 21st chapter, whether or not you consider this a nihilist novel could depend on your interpretation of that final chapter (sincere? ironic? deceptive? unreliable?). "This is definitely one of my favorites from Bethlehem Books. Set in 1778, during America's conflict with England for independence and written with details of the time. Young adults and adults will like this fictional look back on America's beginnings. I highly recommend it."

"This book views the post war era through the eyes of a brave, young girl named Madeline. It is a so-so book that could have really run with the location (Canada) and the events surrounding the end of World War I. It does drag in some parts. A good book for a pre-teen or a young teen girl. It is always good to read about young female heroines."
