"In The Fervent Sand Baths you really start to see the characters from the first book grow and evolve. I like how adventurous the tone is without ever getting too heavy. A little short, but tons of fun--the dialogue really had me laughing!"

"I really love the art style in this and they did a good job of making it light hearted yet serious at the same time. One of the characters ruth ends up winning a trip to a seaside hot spring and brings everyone along but then there are these figures that are constantly watching them and trying to interrupt their enjoyment. If you into fantastic art and want to continue journey in this series, then definitely pick this up but I think it is a great read!"

"My Little Sister Can Read Kanji is a cute light novel that follows Gin and his sisters as they figure out how to change time and the adventures that follow. The novel is aimed toward a younger audience but is still a nice, quick read for the older audience, making it an absolute must for J-Novel Club followers."

""How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom (Vol. 2)" is clearly one of the best books published by J-Novel Club. Publishers give us what we want by immersing us in the wonderful world of Japanese culture. The illustrations are museum worthy and could serve as a standalone work."

"Just starting high school, Koutarou is moving out on his own to take some of the burden off of his widower father. Lucky for him, he’s found a room at Corona House. It has a great landlord, it’s not too far from school, and best of all, it’s dirt cheap. It really is perfect... except for the strange girls that keep appearing to try and take it over! But even as room 106 turns into a battlefield, Koutarou isn’t willing to give up his apartment without a good fight. The invasion begins!"

"As a novel, I found it to be well enough written, and most of the characterization rang true throughout. But I just couldn't get into the story; it felt like a slog to get through, and I wanted to like it, but by the end, I was pretty much "meh.""
