"This book is really a classic. I read this many years ago. It is a science fiction novel which is my favorite genre. It details a soldier who no longer believes in war after he sees the destruction from bombings. A very interesting tale of this man who wonders what does life mean."

"I love the classic Hemingway novel "For Whom the Bell Tolls." I have a old, worn out copy of the book, but I have been wondering if it was ever published by Vintage Classics. It is definitely a vintage classic novel, so I would think it would be. I haven't found it yet, but I will keep searching."

"If you are a fan of the show, then you have to read The Handmaid's Tale! I'm one of those people who feels like I am part of the world anstory is set in when I read, and you just don't get that with TV like you do with a book. Atwood really makes you feel like you are trapped in an alternate reality."

"I was gifted "Brave New World" by my best friend. She had told me about this book on and off for years that it was something I must try to read. This is an imaginative world where everything is engineered to appear happy and adjusted, even if it takes brainwashing and drugs to make it happen. Huxley hails from a scientific family who has trouble adjusting to this illusionary world. I relate to his yearning back to the imperfection of our current world. It is definitely a vintage classic!"

"Invisible Cities is a fantastic novel for anyone looking to explore the world of modern Italian literature. I picked up this book last summer for some light beach reading. What an experience! I could hardly put it down, and had to skip lunch on our last beach day in order to finish! Calvino is a master, and I look forward to reading more from him in the future."

"A Single Man is a beautifully written and painfully human book. The story spoke to me on an emotional level that can be kind of difficult to describe, but suffice it to say, it's one of the best novels I've picked up in a long while. It's a bittersweet story told in such a way that makes you feel very alive."

"Hm, I LOVED this book as a teen. I think maybe it was because I hadn't read too many thrillers then. I was eager to reread it, but it just didn't grab me so much as I remembered. Still a good book, just maybe not for the jaded."
