"I absolutely love Henry Rollins, so naturally when wrote that he suggests this book for his fans, I gave it a read. Illuminations is a lovely poem book written by French Symbolist, Arthur Rimbaud. Although it is over a hundred years old, it still holds up well to contemporary poetry and I recommend it for anyone looking to get into poetry"

"One of the true 20th century classics. Wolfe does ramble on at times, and can be a bit repetitive but, that is part of the charm. This book is also quite long but well worth the effort."

"This one's pretty low on Rollins list at Goodreads, if the order even matters all that much, but it was a great discovery for me. I'd never heard of the book nor the author, so checked it out on a whim. It hits home in a lot of ways for anyone trying to live and love in this messed up modern world."

"Black Spring is one of the more well known and read books by Henry Rollins but not his best recommendation. Likely Illuminations by Arthur Rimbaud and the Stranger by Albert Camus are better reviewed by readers. Some People love Miller and others believe he is difficult to read. "

"Requiem for a Dream is an absolutely fantastic book, I didn't know it was recommended by Henry Rollins, but it makes sense that he would. Many know this book from it's screen adaptation by Darren Aronofsky in 2000. The book is just as dark and affecting as the film if not more so, and I think it truly is one of the best books that Henry Rollins has recommended, all things considered."
