"To Kill a Mockingbird is one of those American classic books which many have already read, but for those that haven't owe it to themselves to partake in this piece of history. It is history and change in writing and it has a powerful message as well as powerful characters."

"I think everyone should read Animal Farm. It's a great allegory of the socialist movement and with these ideas coming back into our lives today, I think everyone should be aware of the consequences. Orwell does an amazing job at leaving you feeling upset and angry at how stupid some of the animals can be, but then we turn around and have to see that is what many today are like. He also hits the media and its ever-changing truth spot on. "

"This book is the antithesis of what a normal person could experience on a work related trip. I feel like it's a bit much for myself, but I can definitely see the appeal some people find in it. Crazy experiences throughout! "

"This Is definitely up there with my all time favorites. I have to admit, I was a skeptic. At first I was annoyed and thought the story was a bit hard to follow. The more I read, the more it sucked me in. By the end I was so enthralled I had nearly forgotten about the world around me. I finished this book in only a few days and, upon closing the last page, called a friend and shouted "Brilliant! This was Brilliant!" "

"I frequent a subreddit devoted to book recommendations, and I saw that Slaughterhouse Five, by Kurt Vonnegut was at the top of the list, so I picked up a copy. I liked the creativity and cynicism of parts of the book, but was put off by the hippie stuff in others, so I can't say this book was my favorite. However, it did point me in the direction of some of Vonnegut's other books, which turned out to be fantastic, so I'm glad I got this introduction to his writing."

"1984 is a fantastic book that everyone should read at least once. There are so many references to it in popular culture that you've probably been exposed to it at one point or another. The book still holds up well today even though it was published in 1949 and I believe that it should be required reading for everyone. It's a great book."
