Being that I was an outcast who suffered isolation during my teen years, this book was very relevant to my experience. It should be essential reading because it is the best book for all teens to read. I read the book first to see if the themes were too traumatic for my daughter to read. They were not. Speak allows you to speak with your teen about issues that are usually too difficult to broach. Spectacular book!"

Since he was already familiar with Howard's work, I got him a copy of "Boxing Stories" and assumed he'd like it. Even though this is a different "style" from the Conan series, the intricate writing is still here and my son really liked this book as well. "I didn’t find this story especially impressive, but it’s definitely more Avatar. For rabid fans who can’t get enough of the world or the characters, this is a must-buy; it’s good, it’s more of the stuff you want, you won’t be disappointed. Carries a lot of “nerd material” about the background of the world and its characters that you can’t get in the show, but is super handy if you’re looking to nerd out. (I enjoyed reading it, I know a lot of other hardcore fans will too.) Solid 3.5 stars, as long as you know you’re shelling out for more of the same. "
