"The "His Dark Materials" series is a classic of fantasy adventure for a reason. Pullman's trilogy is a must-read for any fan of classic, old-school fantasy fiction. I first read these books when I was in school, and I re-read them every few years just to relive it. A real classic!"

"White Fang is such a classic, definitely one of the best books with a color in the title. It's largely written from the viewpoint of the titular character, a wild wolf/dog, and is an adventurous depiction of the violence of the animal and human worlds. If you're sensitive, it can be a little tough to read at times, but I think it's worth it overall."

"I think this is a pretty good return for the query I set forth. It's a semi-classic, though there might be some better ones out there. I don't particularly appreciate the religious overtones in Lewis' writing, however. Still, many would love it regardless."
