"The Summer Tree doesn't veer too far from a classic fantasy tale, but the writing is so rich that I didn't mind. The author takes a lot of time with world-building and mythologies, which is what I love so much about the genre. There are a lot of plot lines to follow, so I did feel confused at time, but overall really enjoyed this read for its fearlessness in exploring tragedy, violence, romance and more all in one tome. "

"Hemingway's The Dangerous Summer is yet another great novel by one of the great American writes of the 20th century. Ernest Hemingway, as expected, deals with testosterone-filled themes and graces them with poetic expression. The Dangerous Summer should be on everyone's list of Hemingway's must-reads."

"The Summer I Turned Pretty is a good coming-of-age story. It has a narrative that kept my interest, and while I wouldn't call it a non-stop page-turner, I will say that I definitely wanted to see how things turned out for the characters. If you are nostalgic for your youth, or if you are currently going through these adolescent years, then this book will appeal to you. However I can think of much better titles with Summer in the title, namely A Midsummer Night's Dream."

"Michelle Dalton's 'Sixteenth Summer' sounds like a sappy teenage story, full of drama and love. What could be better for my niece? The gift went over better than I even expected. She devoured this book and immediately bought the next in the series. She says it's her favorite, and not because of some cute boy, but because the story has real feeling."

""Last Days of Summer" is a relatable coming of age tale heavily revolving around themes such as New York and baseball. The main characters lived some time ago in the past, so some of the historical references might not immediately resonate with modern readers, though the book, for the most part, is pretty timeless. As for how it ranks up against every book about summer or with summer in the title... this is a bit difficult to qualify. It's a better than average book and does meet that criteria though, so I would recommend it."

"I don't feel like this solution is adequate. While the title does have summer in it, this book focuses on a very specific community (LGBT) which may alienate the larger audience. It also lacks a plot summary which would be useful."
