"What can I say? Another werewolf book has been written. Ho hum. Runt explores what it's like to be the smallest of the scary beasts. If you like werewolf books you will probably like reading the story. I'm a little tired of the subject. I picked it up because one of my friends read it. It was ok."

"This book has the main character as a half saint bernard half scottish shepherd. It's not a wolf or werewolf, however it does seem close enough to fit the description. This solution is on amazon and is free on kindle which is a big plus. The reviews seem solid as well."

"Julie picks up right where Julie of the Wolves left off. Now that Julie has decided to move back in with her father she is realizing that he isn’t the same man she remembers. This book centers on Julie trying to make a place for herself in a human world that she was out of for some time. Slowly things are starting to come together for Julie, but first she needs to be able to forgive her father for the loss of her friend. I found myself liking Julie even more in the sequel! She really is a strong main character and easy to relate to. The struggle to leave her wolves behind is very real and made me hope she could still keep her friends. I enjoyed watching Julie interact with other people as much as with her wolves in the first book."

"Unfortunately, this novel is not only set in medieval Europe, so are the ideas in this book. Rape, abuse, unjustified torture are justified as being part of war, but even though this was published in 2001, I can't condone any book with these attitudes regardless of how well written the rest of it may be."
