"It's a classic for sure, and I like the overall concept, but it's a little too old-school for me. I think that's because when I was younger, I read an adaptation of Indiana Jones that reads better than this does. Both are similar tales, and one obviously influenced the other, but it just didn't "grab" me the way I hoped it would."

"Using this has made the word of God so much easier and clearer to comprehend (as much as humanly possible) I've coupled bible study with commentary from blue letter bible also. I like that the translation of this NASB Bible being closest grammar to Hebrew and Greek languages and most literal than that of previous bibles that I've used. I also like the spacing of the text, in two columns as opposed to taking the whole page up."

""The Republic", a book fastened from the works of the Greek philosopher Plato, seems precariously out of place among the collection of literary works that inspired the TV show Black Sails. "The Republic" is all about ancient philosophical ideas whereas Black Sails is about pirates and their accompanying adventures. Plato's book is certainly a masterpiece and its influence cannot be denied, but it has no relevance to the adventures of pirates."
