"This is one of those books that it's almost a shame was made into the movie because the author has such a fantastic way of telling the story that can never come through in a movie. It's a Booker Prize winner because it is such an enduring, captivating, and well written narrative. Martel weaves fact and personal experiences into the narrative in a way that makes you learn history and science along with the journey of Pi and the tiger. "

"Margaret Atwood rarely disappoints and The Blind Assassin is no exception. I was initially drawn in to the story but found some of the middle chapters a bit hard to get through. After a few days break from the novel, I could not stop wondering about the outcome and picked up the book again. I'm glad I did, the ending is so satisfying!"

"The Line of Beauty is a really amazing novel that is spread out over three parts. It is a truly unique book, but it is not a Pulitzer Prize winner, so this will not be of interest to those who need to read books that have won that award. It is still worth a read regardless."
