"I had forgotten how sad the ending was but how uplifting. Charlotte is a spider who befriends Wilbur the pig. Fern loves Wilbur whom she and Charlotte protect from being sent to the slaughterhouse. Templeton the rat helps and is the comic relief. I loved this book but I needed a box of Kleenex. It is so well written. The author pulled me into his world. I was so caught up in the story. The characters are wonderful. The humor is subtle but there. I could picture Templeton at the carnival. It is a great book."

"The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials) is one of the coolest adventure stories I've read in a long time. I love stories where animals are characters and take place in fantasy worlds. It was hard to put this book down once I started and I was sad when it was over."

"Dr. Seuss's Cat in the Hat is a children's classic that brings to life a whimsical Cat with a silly hat. The book rhymes with reason and keeps a steady pace with the story of two children that are bored and looking for adventure. The illustrations contained within are colorful, vibrant and creative, with unique character designs that are quite memorable. "

"Everyone has heard of Harry Potter, and with good reason. The books were wildly popular when first released, and continue to be an excellent read, entrancing a new generation of young readers and keeping them up late. The movies are also visually superb and a faithful depiction of the world of Hogwarts. Highly recommended."

"I bought this book because I loved the movie and figured I would hopefully like the book almost as much at least. So far I have been loving it and thinking that this is one book that may actually be better than the movie. So many others have agreed with me. It is a true masterpiece and is the sort of work that will draw 'non-readers' into the reading world because it is just such a classic and also very important in our day of having people wrongfully imprisoned for various things. Definitely should be kept on the classics list!"
