"I'm not sure about a knight in shining armor, but Vampire Academy is certainly an exciting book -- one you can really sink your fangs into! There's certainly adventure and scandal. I'm about to read it right now."

"I'm not sure what I could say that hasn't been already said. This is the one that started it all, and with good reason. I defy anyone to not get involved with these characters and cheer for their relationship."

"If you are looking for a good series of books this is a good one to follow. Two people who have cared for each since they were kids get into a lot of adventures because one is an investigator. I like books that there are more of because you find yourself wanting to know what else happens to the characters. Before i finished one book i was on to the next."

"This wasn't what i was looking for. This was more of a fantasy romance type as opposed to the knight in shining armor theme i was looking for. The book itself was also not very compelling. Too fast paced and not fleshed out. "

"This book is sort of creepy at times and lacks a modern concept of love. In this way, it must be taken for what it is. Sebastian fell in love with Evie and seemed to become obsessed with her after having sex one time. While if taken from a romanticized tone this is romantic, from the perspective of a realist, this is creepy. You will love this book depending on what perspective you take. I personally loved seeing Evie get swept off her feet and having Sebastian come in the rescue her. This was a great tale. Definitely not for all ages though. Don’t let your young kids read this, I made that mistake and decided to read it myself after. Strong themes in this book!"

"Historical fiction is one of my favorite genres, and Penman did not disappoint with Here Be Dragons. I imagine some people will find it hard to read because of the language, but it was extremely pleasant for me as it transported me to that era. My favorite aspect of the book is how rich and interesting the characters are, I was drawn immediately into their lives!"

"Author Suzanne Collins has created one of the outstanding trilogies in the recent crop of young adult science fiction/fantasy. Katniss really does end up as a knight in shining armor, albeit a reluctant and struggling one, one prone to self-doubt and fear, but ultimately someone who is brave and gutsy. The relationship between Katniss and Peeta is always an intriguing sub-text, and you'll find yourself racing through all three books to find out how the story gets resolved. It's brutal and harsh in its themes, with plenty to tug at the heartstrings, but ultimately a wonderful series."
