"I know I love those May-December romance novels. Goodness knows I've read enough of them. What we have here is an excellent example of how a great author can pull off that genre in a way that feels fresh and new. I'm looking forward to reading more of this author's work in the future."

"This book was a waste of time. The story was very unrealistic and the plot just plodded along. It moved as slowly as you might think a 65-year-old widow would. It was very frustrating trying to push through Sarah's thoughts and feelings. This was a terrible experience."

"I found this story to be very interesting. Especially since the story is about an older woman and a younger man. The only problem I had with it is that the male character seemed to be very one dimensional and boring. Other than that I really enjoyed the book. "

"Dean Koontz has been a favorite author of mine for some time now. While I wasn't crazy about the age difference in the characters, I was drawn in by his usual excellent detail in writing. "

"Hard to read this as it is a story within a story within a story type of book. It's easy to lose track of who is who and what is going on. Not worth the time to read. "

"I was in the mood for a "May-December" type of romance story and realized I had never actually read the classic "Sense and Sensibility" by Jane Austen. It took me a bit of time to actually get through this one as it isn't particularly contemporary but I can easily realize why it is considered a classic. I don't know exactly why I am drawn to romance stories where there is a considerable age difference between the two potential lovers but this story definitely has this angle going on to some degree. Overall, I enjoyed the book but I felt it was a bit slow in places and it has that "dated" feeling if you're someone like me who typically enjoys more modern types of stories."

"I would not recommend this book for this genre but perhaps something more along the lines of "best books with age gap romance" or something similar. The whole book was mostly about the age difference between the two main characters. The description here is also wrong, as the woman (Veronica) is older than Noah."
