"Book features a gay prince, known as James. Interesting romance book with the mid evil type of theme to it in my opinion. Great imagery the entire book, and would make for a great movie if you asked me."

"In some circles, homosexuality is still a bit taboo, and definitely royalty would be one of those circles. With that in mind, The Prince's Consort has that forbidden love factor to make the flame of passion ignite that much further. But it's also a sweet and touching love story."

"A Price For A Kingdom is to 50 Shades of Grey as Avatar is to Pocahontas. Difference here is Avatar had the benefit of special effects. This book was hard pill for me to swallow, the premise a slave who wants to break free this bit makes sense. The bit that throws me is the character forgoing this and there personal morality because Stockholm syndrome... after they've already formulated a plan for escape, come on. "

"I'm all for m/m lit that isn't just sex, but this was pretty boring. Even with two royals, rather than just a poor peasant falling in love with a prince or something like that...it just sort of follows a typical fantasy storyline. Was really hoping for something a little deeper. Entertaining, but just not my cup of tea. "

"Alexander the Great ascended to the throne of Macedon after the assassination of his father Philip II shrouded in mystery. It is very good to explore Alexander's life from young, this "Fire from Heaven" . Renault tried to indulge the young man's grace and beauty, his parents fought each other for their son’s loyalty. The descriptions of Macedonia's craggy landscape and vivid recreations of court life was amazing. "

"The number of books with gay royals--at least openly gay--is likely not that many, but that doesn't mean someone looking for that genre should stoop to read Mariner's Luck. This book is terrible. It reads like fan fiction with all the overly-complicated names and relationships. It all just seems so contrived and amateurish. I have no need or interest to read any of the other books in this series."

"I really like this plot because it takes some traditional elements of romance novels, mixes it with the current trend of royalty in TV and fiction, and adds a few compelling gay characters. It is also nice that there are more books in this series, so the reader can get acquainted with the characters and stay with them for additional books. "

"Scarlet and the White Wolf is a fantasy romance that involves a hidden love and a battle of wills between families. Scarlet isn't sure of his sexuality, and over time he learns his true feelings. It does this without turning it into a gay Twilight or gay Fifty shades so that's a plus in my book. Also, it's written very well and is very engaging. If you're interested in a love story between two males, this is a good book to read. I really enjoyed it as I could relate to a lot of those repressed feelings."

"Having never read this series, I believe this is a suitable solution. It features a homosexual servant sold into slavery by another king. It received good costumer reviews. "
