Homer's Iliad is a story telling master piece and it's reflection on the Trojan war has provided one of the greatest epics of all time. Highly recommended for anyone that hasn't read yet."

"I think this book is really cute and while it does have some Greek mythology in it, it is more suitable for kids. I don't think the Greek mythology is quite accurate, I think it is meant to be more fun and age appropriate than accurate. I still think it is good for kids to read and it might help them get more interested in Greek mythology later on."

"This is a pretty good solution. The Last Olympian is one of my favorite books of all time. However, I would suggest The Lightning Thief , the book that begins the series, so readers will be fully immersed in the story. That books introduces Greek myths and builds on them over the course of the series."

"Aphrodite is one of the more compelling figures within the Greek pantheon. She is tragic, like most of the gods and goddesses, but this work is a bit more upbeat, telling gripping, albeit unrealistic love stories. This isn't a history and lore of the Greek pantheon, but they are good stories regardless."

"Cupid is mythologically depicted as holding an arrow and shooting strangers to become lovers, but this Cupid is different in form and function. The author reimagines Cupid into a malevolent force that works to force others into relationships that they would otherwise not pursue, all to watch the chaos unfold and have the "lovers" irrational behavior play out. The book does an excellent job of incorporating all aspects of Greek lore and goes into descriptive detail to explain the roles of the Greek gods."
