"It is a lesbian romance novel. It is typical of any romance novel. I found the characters to be rather one sided and shallow. The plot really had no surprises or twists. It is worth a read if you have nothing else on hand otherwise I would look for something better written."

"Always Faithful is a faith drive novel following Nichol the sole survivor of a military helicopter crash in Iraq. It is a predictable read of how she finds love as she recuperates. The supporting character, Father O'Reilly is the best written and most interesting character."

"My daughter heard about this book from one of her friends, so we searched and searched for it. I wish I could say this is one of the best books about LGBTQ but I think it isn't. More to the point, we couldn't buy it anywhere. Personally, if I had to put one on the list - I'd put Call Me By My Name on it. Or one by Becky Albertalli. These are great books with strong, interesting LGBTQ characters. This one? Good luck finding it (I couldn't). "

Almost all of the time, they add little to nothing to the original and are just an easy way for an author to make a book, but in this case, it was actually pretty well done. Enough fresh changes to keep it interesting and the writing is good enough to stand on its own."

Also, it's nice that someone might be able to express themselves in writing about their homosexuality and what it is like to live in a body like that to make it's voice heard. I believe that what God believes is good and true. This solution was actually really good because it both links to buy the specific book, plus has much more VARIETY of other options relation to that topic."

"I liked reading the book. A captain that puts together a series of misfits with pasts they are hiding from. There's the trusty mechanic, the trusty sidekick, the doctor, the brute who mayhem seems to follow, and the woman who's job is providing pleasure, in whatever form, to the rich. In fact, she even decorates her own space and serves ceremonial tea in a delicate tea set . I would attribute that to coincide, there are differences in the character's sex and backgrounds, but then, the book reads like an actual screenplay. I was more than half-way through and I was still looking for a plot... the story behind bringing together several characters with mysterious backgrounds. There was none that I could see. Just a series of situations they had to fight their way out of. The last third did have more of a plot as they tried to locate a missing person. But I kept wondering why they got together and why they stayed together. The story never answered that question. However in the end, even without an overall story to the book, I enjoyed what I read. But there needs to be more of a reason for these characters to be together and stay together."
