"I found this to be a very good book. It is not a simplistic story. It is well written and enjoyable. I find a lot of books with Native American characters are full of stereotypes. This book did not make me groan and put it down like I do a lot of similar genre books. I even enjoyed the multi generational story, something that I do no usually."

"This looks like a goofy and wacky fantasy adventure rooted in real life themes and lore. This doesn't say that it contains the type of character I'm looking for though. This is likely a fun and interesting novel for those looking for adventure, but not exactly what I want here."

"This book will have you in tears. It's one of the most gutwrenching accounts of what happened to the Native American people from the white settlers. While the story is fiction, the actual happenings of what happened to these people is called the Trail of Tears. A young Cherokee man and woman are separated by white soldiers just as they are about to be married. Just heartbreaking!"

"An interesting history of the evolution of Tucson and how it has impacted the Hispanic community in the area. My major complaint is that it is too text book like and a very dry read. however it is very informative and you have to piece together all of the information after you read the book. Provides a good in depth view of Tuscon and how it is much different from other Southwestern towns in the USA. i just wish I had read this before I visited Tuscon a few years ago. Good perspective and history"
