"While there are definitely a lot of contenders in this category, I feel like Dracula is one of the better ones. The story of Dracula is so good that it has been remade dozens of times. It it easily one of the best one word title books out there."

"What a great book! I love books that only have one-word titles and Holes is something that both me and my 14-year-old daughtered loved. This book is so charming and I love the way Louis Sachar paints the story. "

"Girl gets boy. Girl loses Boy. Girl gets boy back, then defies him to hold hands and snuggle up with a “friend” who wants to break them up. As this series progresses, I like each book a little less than the one before. Only the amusing narration, bickering, and jibes; Alice’s child-like glee; and the more serious and intriguing developments with Victoria and the Volturi kept me reading. I thought Bella had made her choice in “New Moon.” I didn’t expect to see her conflicted in “Eclipse.” She got her prince, her angel, back, and now she’s having second thoughts about the wolf? Throughout the book, Bella’s feelings for Jacob are presented as friendship. She enjoys his company and her time among the Quileutes. . Then suddenly, we are told in Chapter 26 that she is actually in love with Jacob and tempted by the life he offers her. This revelation might have been more believable if we had indications that Bella saw qualities in Jacob that Edward lacked, or that a mortal life was starting to appeal to her."

"Carrie is probably one of Stephen King's better novels, though as usual he struggles a bit with his ending. This tale is chilling and saddening, and if you're willing to power through it, very thought provoking as well."

"Hollywood's been recycling plotlines forever, but not as long as authors have been mining Macbeth. This is the original. It's got all the bloody drama and tragedy you'd expect from the Bard. When I consider my marriage, I always find myself coming back to Macbeth for insight and guidance."

"I have to agree that this is one of the best one-word-title books in history. It isn't technically a book, but that is splitting hairs really at this point. I love this story, and I think this was a unique but also safe return on my query."
