"I am a pretty big Heinlein fan and this book does not disappoint. I read this book years and ago and since then have read at least 3-4 times. If you're into combat type stories then you should give this book a shot."

"I am not one of the people who would confidently say that I am familiar with these types of books, but I am very well open minded and have a read for myself just to see what the fuzz is all about. Judging by the positive reviews, I am sure enough to say that this book is worthy as one of the best for its category."

"I am not really a big fan of this type of books since they just end up being too dark or too depressing for me, but I would recommend this one to people who actually like these type of stories. I would say this is appropriate for the category since hundreds of reviews seem to think that this is definitely worth reading, so I guess I would say this is one of the few books I can recommend for the topic."

"If you are a reader interested in polygamist characters, Torn by God is right up your alley. This book offers perspective from a religious standpoint and a lot of information on the topic as well. I did find it a bit dry for my tastes though."
