"I didn't have any expectations when I picked up this book, but I wish I had known ahead of time what to expect. The Lovely Bones cuts deep. It is a heart-wrenching, moving, painful story told in a beautiful way that held my attention and put me into the world it described. Not only does the story detail relationships and characters in a memorable way, it deals with a very important subject that, to me, only made the book more meaningful."

"When you read In Cold Blood by Truman Capote you certainly get the feeling that he actually witnessed this brutal quadruple murder that took place in rural Kansas in the late 1950's. In Cold Blood is spellbinding and a true American masterpiece. "

Anxious to compete, Russian prospectors commissioned inventor Leviticus Blue to create a great machine that could mine through Alaska's ice. Thus was Dr. Blue's Incredible Bone-Shaking Drill Engine born. But on its first test run the Boneshaker went terribly awry, destroying several blocks of downtown Seattle and unearthing a subterranean vein of blight gas that turned anyone who breathed it into the living dead. Now it is sixteen years later, and a wall has been built to enclose the devastated and toxic city. Just beyond it lives Blue's widow, Briar Wilkes. Life is hard with a ruined reputation and a teenaged boy to support, but she and Ezekiel are managing. Until Ezekiel undertakes a secret crusade to rewrite history. ""Silver in the Blood" is a great historical novel. Written by Jessica Day george, with great characters. All in all I found that this book was about a lot of things that I haven't read about before, and I always like those. If you like sweeping adventures, blood soaked evenings and strong female friendships, this is the book for you."

"I read this book during my senior year in high school. This book was a roller coaster of emotions for me. It started out so light hearted and loving, in other words, boring. By chapter 4 I was hooked. The book had many twist and turns, none of which I saw coming. The darkness in the book made it impossible to put down. Since i first read the book, I've reread it at least a dozen times since. And will probably reread it another dozen times. "

"U=I loved this, it reminded me of the anita blake series. Cas is a ghost hunter, the book is riveting. I love that this story was told from a male POV. You don't really see that very often, and it was a nice change. The author did a great job getting inside Cas's head and made him a good narrator. This is the kind of book that, although is fun to read, has a major creepy feel to it too, along with some gore. I think the author did an amazing job with that, as I'm sure it wasn't easy to accomplish! I am very much looking forward to book two to see what happens!"

"This is one of those great mystery novels that really get inside your head. Set in the 12th century, the author does a great job of writing and keeping everything period as he writes the book. He writes with such passion and detail as if feels like you are actually there. Ellis Peters does a magnificent job on the piece of literature. It is a truly remarkable work of fiction."

"This is a great book for young readers. It won many awards for being a rich storytelling masterpiece. The title "Daughter of Smoke & Bone" really hooks you, just as the first chapter of this book will. I am not what you consider a young reader, being a little older than the target audience. But I still found the story decently enjoyable and would recommend this book!"
