"I'm always inspired to read books that are related to MacBeth in someway. The moon is down definitely did not let me down, it was a solid book and I was pulled into the pages like one is pulled into a show at live Theatre. If you have any interest in MacBeth or things that are related to it, I would recommend the moon is down...it's definitely one of John Steinbeck's fictional classics."

"Loved the idea, loved the new angle. Not sure about how it all pans out though. It ends up being an intriguing idea, but flattens the whole story of Macbeth and transforms it into a middle-of-the-road YO novel. Not sure it's the best outcome. Maybe it would be better to let young readers try Macbeth on their own, or at least try a slightly modernized version that makes it a little easier to read, but still keeps the complexities of the story and the subtle characters. As it is, it's nothing but a YA novel with a cool title."
