"well, even I know that Harry Potter is awesome. I'm not surprised that it was picked for being one of the best books with the title that starts with an H. When I was younger, I watched Harry Potter movies and well as read books. I felt like when I was reading that it took me on an amazin journey because I got so caught up in it."

"Diamond’s analysis is fascinating and thorough, although his background as an evolutionary biologist clearly influenced what factors he found important in human history. He skims over or does not mention numerous other facets, most importantly cultural interactions and the roles of imperialism, post-colonialism, capitalism, rationalism, and many others. It also feels somewhat deterministic – as if according to Diamond, Eurasian dominance was inevitable."

"I don't quite understand all the rave reviews about this book. It's well written, but the character Katsa was annoying to me. She's anti-marriage and anti-kids, because she claims that it takes away a woman's freedom. Since when? She thinks that dressing in dresses or anything "girly" is a weakness. Again, since when? I just don't click with this character's beliefs or values, something that needs to happen in order for me to enjoy a book. "

"Fangirl is a meaningful exploration of the nature of obsession, especially with young people. The motivations and feelings of the main character will be familiar to anyone who has loved a film or a singer or a book just a little too much. Her journey is one we can all relate to: of realizing the need to let go and grow up, and of how love doesn't have to be all-consuming."

"Adventure fiction books have been around for a long time. The part I like is that the best of them turn into movies! Holes is about a coming of age story for boys. It is set in a far off place and time. It would make a great movie!"
