"An ok novel with an unbearably slow start. The first several hundred pages of the book will make you want to put it down, and maybe you would be better off if you did. I am glad I finished it, but had I known it would take as long as it did to get enjoyable, I probably wouldn't have bother starting it. If you're willing to deal with a sloggish half of the book, it does get enjoyable."

"I completely disagree. Although this book is a fascinating read and evokes many emotional reactions at times, I'd hardly call it the best book with a title that starts with l, m, or n. Have you considered, even for a second, Herman Melville's Moby-Dick. What an amazing journey of a read. Again, good book, but I disagree with this solution."

""Number the Stars" is one of those books that will forever tug on your heartstrings. The subject matter is very heavy, but reading it and experiencing Annemarie and Ellen's friendship will actually deepen your understanding of your own interpersonal relationships. I think that even though this category is very broad "Number the Stars" is solidly in the top tier of these books."

"I was working 8am to 7pm shifts for the past few years and I wanted to make sure I spend time in the evening with my 9 year old twin sons. I was looking for something exciting and intellectually stimulating to share with them while I read to them at night. I found this amazing book called "Lord of the Flies" which is an amazing cautionary tale and novel by William Golding that allows children to reflect on the tragedy and violence that humans cruelly inflict on one another. The story is about a group of young boys who crash on an island and begin to form alliances and a hierarchical structure of power. Unfortunately, due to the corrupting nature of power, the boys begins to pick on and make fun of one boy by calling him Piggy. My sons absolutely loved the story and ask me to reread it to them all of them because of the powerful moral dilemmas being discussed. Thank you William Golding for writing Lord of the Flies and teaching humanity about human nature!"

"Mockingjay is the third book in the Hunger Games trilogy wrapping up the series which was one of the best young adult dystopian stories that I've ever read. All of the plot threads were concluded in a way that made sense to the story. I found the world created in this book to be well described and brought to life as I read through to the conclusion."

"Captivating! The description says it all. This story recounts the extreme side of humanity which may not be prevalent in today's world. If you are a human being who cares about how the world works, this is a must have for your library. "
