"Harper Lee is an amazing writer and to Kill a Mockingbird is one of the great literary works of our time. A tragic tale of prejudice and miscarriage injustice, this book is still relevant to this day. To Kill a Mockingbird is well worth the money and should be read and reread over and over again."

""The Bell Jar" is a novel that I came across while browsing for books one day and after reading a brief synopsis I decided I just needed to give it a try. The book was written by an American author named Sylvia Plath and details a character's descent into mental illness. This is not a book to be taken lightly as it deals with a very serious topic. It is very well written and quite haunting in areas as the main character is so realistic and fleshed out. I'd definitely recommend the book if you're willing to delve into something somewhat out of the ordinary."

"I've taken interest in books lately written by American woman for a school project I want to do. One of the most notable books is Gone with the Wind something I hadn't read until now. It's an amazing book all around. I plan to eventually watch the movie, but not before I read this again. Can't wait to write my thoughts and feelings about this book for my project."

"This is an amazing book that appeals to the strength of the African American characters inside of it. It takes place during the Jim Crow era and the main characters are fighting against black discrimination. They've also made it into a movie, but I suggest reading the book first as it's one of those books that you can not put down due to the feisty characters and situations that happen."

"While I did find the book hard to put down, I felt that the characters were underdeveloped and the plot too rushed. I know it's received awards and lots of people like it, so I thought I'd give it a go. I know it is for youngish kids, so for them it might be fine, but I just wanted more"
