"I am not a huge fan of Marcel Proust in general. His writing style just isn't my thing. However, In the Shadow of Young Girls in Flower isn't too bad. I doubt that I would ever read it again though."

"The Guermantes Way gives a better translation than the original. The new translation gives new insight to modern readers to help them understand and appreciate the writing of Marcel Proust. Although it is a good translation, it is only a fraction of the whole book, however, rather than the whole book."

"This is a good choice for Marcel Proust's books. His famous work is "In Search of Lost Time," which is in fact a seven-volume work. This is part 6. The top list should probably include all volumes of this work, so this choice is good. Even though the work should be read in order, this is a good candidate for being on the list."

"It's only because I love Marcel Proust's writing that I gave Contre Saints Beuve a go. I normally take great pleasure in reading cultural pieces, but this one left me saying, "Alright. I guess that was okay. What's next?" Now I'm off to see if he published anything else, whether better or worse."

"If you loved Proust's masterwork In Search of Lost Time, uoe should read this little-known gem. It is a collection of short pieces, some of them no more than sketches, that demonstrate Proust's mastery at portraying a character or place vividly. I was transported to the scenes of these pieces."

"I was interested in reading a book by Marcel Proust and want to get one that is well liked. I'm not sure this is the right book for me. The Collected Poems only has a 3 star rating, and I see in the description on Amazon that he also wrote prose, which would be much more of interest to me. I will keep searching for something more highly rated and of more interest to me."
