"In Mahabharata I felt that William Buck did a great job of shortening this massive epic that was originally eighteen volumes long into something that someone that's not a scholar can read. It's a well written and gripping story of the fight between Pandavas and Kauravas for the Kingdom of Hastinapura. Well worth the read."

"This book doesn't really need an introduction because I think everyone has heard of it. I personally don't understand the hype around this book. I am former Army and found the tactics discussed to be outdated and not very effective in today's world. It's interesting from a historical standpoint though. Also, the translating job of this book is not very good. It was actually pretty bad in many spots."

"This translation is just delightful. Strange to say about a Greek tragedy, no? But the glossary and sidenotes deliver just the right punch to make sure modern readers comprehend the events in the story. Really well done."
