"Zer0 is one of those borderlands 2 classes that need a bit of effort and practice to learn to use but once you do, he is an effective character to use in various situations. It also doesn't hurt that he looks badass while doing it."

"Maya is a very flexible class to use in the game and can be used for both solo and co-op gameplay. I prefer to use her for the later though as it gives me more breathing room to set up my attack while my teammate calls the enemy's attention."

The first Borderlands game went through some major graphical changes before it released? The demo that it showcased back in 2007 featured dark and serious looking art style. Which was more in line with the way other sci-fi shooters looked at the time. The game had its official launch in 2009, it might have as well been a completely different game. Gone are the complex 3D rendered graphics and replaced by something else. Something that the developers refer to as "concept art style". A style that's akin to cel-shading and is a visual style not seen much on first-person games. Gearbox's - makers of the game - gamble paid off. Apart from the drastic art style, the game is also responsible for the birth of a new genre in shooters.

Looters shooters mix elements of shooter games and RPG into one. As the name suggests, these game also place great emphasis on in-game loot. Many players regard its sequel, Borderland 2 as one of the best games of all time. It is also the game that pushed looter shooters into mainstream recognition. Borderlands 3 is to arrive by September of 2019. Until that time though, Borderlands 2 is still a great and a must-play for anyone. Anyone new to the game will find that there plenty of Borderlands 2 classes to choose from. From the run&gun commando to the more stealthier assassin, classes are flexible in the game.

"My experience with using Axton was good and I got the hang of the game very quickly being a total beginner, but I think other classes are better. Salvador is more customizable and Gaige is more flexible for many situations. He is still a good class to play if you're just starting out though."
