"Safari is the go-to browser for iOS and it's one of the best browsers out there. I have it on both my iPhone and my iPad and it syncs between the two flawlessly. Even though Chrome is the big dog on the block, Safari is made by Apple, integrates well with its own devices, and that shows here. Plus it's based on the industry-standard Webkit, so it does everything Chrome does, and with cloud based session storage just like Chrome, there's no reason to use anything bu Safari on an Apple device."

"Some people love Firefox, some love Chrome. I'm the latter. Firefox tends to be my backup browser, but I have it installed and it hasn't really done anything negative. It used to be my main before a huge memory leak problem a while back and simply never swapped back over."

"Google chrome is not just for android anymore. I enjoy my unique browsing experience that I get with chrome. I can switch devices and pick up right where I left off. This has saved me time and makes me more productive at both work or home."

Despite the emergence of rival browsers, Safari still holds the crown as the best browser for iOS. Why? It is because of the integration of the iPhone and iPad's operating system with it. As restricting as it may sound, if you want to change your default browser for your iOS device, you can't. You cannot, because Safari is the native and proprietary web browser of Apple. By native, it means that Safari feels like a natural extension of the iPhone, its menus and settings. In fact, the Spotlight feature of Mac utilizes Safari to search on anything the user types. On a similar note, all external links found on Facebook or Twitter will open in Safari. When talking about security and private browsing, Safari has some restriction settings. This feature is for the parents who want to limit the websites their children could visit.

Yet, alternative web browsers for iPhone exist in the market. One great competitor is Google Chrome. While Apple takes pride that iOS devices are not prone to viruses, Google Chrome also stepped up its game. Thanks to Safe Browsing technology. Well, to be fair, almost all modern browsers use this technology. It works by checking a list of suspected phishing and malware sites. Google then checks the list of sites stored in your computer and finds a match. If there's any, a red warning page will appear to inform you that the page might harm your computer. Alongside the security feature is Chrome's some built-in quirks on iOS. This makes Chrome the best browser for cross-platform syncing. It has a built-in QR scanner, Google Now-support, a translator, and a friendly interface. In deciding which one is the fastest among them, Safari is still the winner.

"Paying for a browser is ludicrous but I decided to take the plunge anyways to see what this browser offers. I am currently not impressed. This browser has so many features that doesn't work well on a phone. Who shares phone enough for multiuser to be useful for example? Overall, I find safari just far simpler and smoother in browsing experience to consider using iCab again. "

I don't see a reason to pay for what Red Onion offers, the security measures and customization that they tout are hallmarks of many browsers these days. It tends to crash a little too much and does not really get the job done the way that it is supposed to. Upon typing in my favorite site, it displays an error and just crashes my IOS phone.
