"MyFitnessPal is a useful app for counting calories. I especially like the scanner function which allows you to scan the barcodes of food items to get nutritional information. I also like the ability to sync this app with others like FitBit. The only drawback is that sometimes your daily activities don't always update your calorie adjustment."

"Fooducate is a suitable solution for those who have very little experience tracking or really understanding what they eat, but its free features are a bit limited. It might work best in conjunction with other apps that also track other key components that contribute to a healthy lifestyle. Also, their customer service appears to be fairly responsive, which is always a plus."

"I've used this app for a few months now and have found it to be pretty good. I especially like the barcode scanner - it allows you to scan the barcode of an item and it will tell you how many calories it is. One thing I have found to be a problem is the weight counter - it sometimes won't keep the new weight you enter in; it keeps going back to the weight of a previous day. Must be some kind of bug. I do recommend the program though, it's been a help to me."
