"I thought MyFitnessPal was very easy to use and simple. I liked that they have a large list of food already programmed into the app's data-banks when you download it. I still use MyFitnessPal even now, I thought it was so useful. It really helps to be able to track my calories so easily and fast!"

"I decided this year was the one I finally took my weight issues into my own hands and do something about it, but I wasn't sure where to get started. I've used Webmd for other health related things so decided to give their food & fitness planner a shot. By entering some basic information about myself and my goals, it was able to calculate what my calorie intake needed to be and with the food log, I was able to track what I ate and how it added up to that intake value. With other benefits like nutrient tracker and activity logs, it became my one stop in helping me start to lose this weight!"

"Lose it! is a really helpful app. I have been calorie tracking for years - it has been the only effective way for me to lose weight and maintain weight loss. Most calorie tracking apps require you to search for the food you are tracking, often having to guess at calorie content, and sometimes to track foods manually if they are not in the database. The time saved by simply being able to take pics of your food and then track it just makes calorie tracking that much easier."

"This short video is a quick walk-through on the number of calories that someone should contain - it's a decent video that is very brief but also a general source of knowledge. This information should be taken in general - but the video does not cover calorie trackers, just the quantity consumed."

"First off, the cover design looks like it was made in the early 2000s by an amateur and was never updated--not a good start. But secondly, in terms of the content itself, there's literally nothing special about it and if you want a pocket calorie counter, it's called a smartphone app. There are way, way better options."

"I thought FatSecret was a little cumbersome because I was just looking for a simple calorie tracker. FatSecret had me sign up and make an account in addition to downloading the app which I did not like. I think that if I was looking for a more inclusive weight loss app I would have liked it more but I just wanted a calorie tracker so I moved on to another app."

"Unfortunately, I'm overweight and I really need to do something about it. Calorie counting seemed easy enough, so I figured it would be even easier with a calorie tracker. I found this book thinking it would help me get started. It had a lot of good information but it leaves all the work to me. I'm to lazy to calculate calories myself and I know if left up to me, I'm gonna give up. It's a good informational tool, but for me it wasn't the accountability tool I desperately need. I need an app or something where I can quickly input food items and the calories will be subtracted from my daily allowance automatically. "

"I think the Pocket Calorie Counter is a handy item for keeping track of my calorie intake. I got the Kindle edition since I take mine everywhere I go anyway. It has information about how to manage my nutrition goals along with easy to use calorie and nutritional information for so many foods. I used to have to look everything up when I got home and sometimes found myself eating things that I maybe shouldn't have, but not anymore."

"Ever since I started to count calories, I've seen some significant weight loss, but that doesn't mean I like doing it. Keeping track of every little thing I ate, having to search the web to find out how many calories it was, it was just so tedious. Until I found MyPlate. Like other calorie counters, it has a diary to track my info, but it also has a barcode scanner. It's made it so much easier to not only enter my data, but find out info about food online. It's taken so much of the work out of counting calories."
