"My grandfather's old bible is falling apart. It's a family heirloom, but he's afraid to touch it because it might rip. I recently bought him this bible for everyday reading and he loves it. It's a nice looking book, and the translation makes it clear and simple to read. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a daily use bible."

""True Devotion to Mary" is a very information heavy book. Granted, it is not for everyone just like any other religious book. It focuses on Mary's importance and role in the Christian faith. For Catholics, this is good book to read for educational as well as guidance purposes. "

"As a Catholic, I find it my moral obligation to read, learn and follow my religious teachings. Reading the original text is, of course impossible to understand, but with New American Standard Bible which is very well and accurately translated into proper and well-understandable English language, I found myself very comfortable, convenient and knowledgeable about the scripture that I read. The translation is very smooth, concise and succinct in delivering the meanings of the scripture texts. I think it is the best among many of the translated texts so far."

"I was interested in getting a book to learn more about the Catholic Church and what exactly Catholics believe. It really doesn't get more in detail than this as this is straight from Pope John Paul II. This probably ranks way up there on the list of best Catholic books if not the best aside from the Bible itself. If you have an interest in theology or the Catholic church I really recommend you give this book a read. "

"I think this solution is rather simple and straightforward. When looking for a book to read, especially when you want to receive it immediately. I think Amazon is the correct solution. I would of directed someone to Amazon if they wanted this book! One drawback for some people may be that Amazon is only offering the paperback version."

"I would have to say the Bible is the best Catholic book, but this one comes in a hard second as a Christian book. It's not necessarily Catholic, so i wouldn't put it in that category, but Christian, yes, Evangelical actually. It centers around what a relationship with God is. Great read for any Christian religion."

"I would say When God Writes Your Love Story is a good book if you're looking for something quite niche within the repertoire of Catholic-based literature. It certainly isn't the first thing that comes to mind when you think "greatest Catholic books of all time" but it's still close to the source material and gives its reader an interesting insight into romantic relationships between Christians. "I was working 8am to 7pm shifts for the past few years and I wanted to make sure I spend time in the evening with my boyfriend who waits for me to come home all day. I was looking for something exciting and special to share with my boyfriend to show my appreciation for all of his commitment and loving. I found this religiously philosophical book written by Francis de Sales, the theological scholar, called "Introduction to the Devout Life (Image Classics)" which describes and chronicles the the Catholic religion and its power to heal the individual. My boyfriend is an aspiring college student, so he is learning a lot of prayer techniques by reading this extraordinary and inspiring textbook that helps to enlighten readers from all walks of life.
