"Whoa! Celestron makes telescopes for astronomers, so I would fully trust that they are able to produce a solid binocular intended for star gazing. The telescopes cost upwards of $600 and on up, while these binoculars cost $60. There are scads of bright celestial objects that can be observed through binoculars, so this is just a whale of a deal. There is an adapter for a tripod, and I would recommend getting a tripod while you're buying the binoculars, so that you can zero in on the object you want to look at."

"If night viewing at it's very best is your thing, and you have an upper limit budget, these are the binoculars for you. These are no for the casual night time viewer, and they are pretty pricey, but if you want to look at Jupiter from your back yard, these are the binoculars for you. Don't forget a good tripod while you're at it, these are very heavy, and casual users probably wouldn't get much use out of them."
