"As the other reviews say, this is a great book for boys. My older son loved it, even when he was long past the reading level he'd go back to it. On the other hand, my daughter is right about at the right level for it but has no interest. She plays soccer, mind, so it's not as though she doesn't understand. It just doesn't seem to translate well for her. Giving it a 4 because of how well my son liked it though."

"Just by looking at the pictures, you can tell that this book is inviting and welcoming to kids! The book is a very fast read, and very easy for kids to understand! It includes very simple english, and some Creole which teaches your little ones some words in a different language!"

"I introduced my daughter to soccer around 4 years old and she's enjoying the sport quite a bit. She likes to read in her downtime from school and this was one of the books on her reading list. I think the story was compelling and offers a good side of soccer that fans of it will enjoy. I definitely recommend this book! "

"I grew up playing soccer and I really wanted to get my son into it as well while he's young. He's too young to actually play the game much yet but he likes picture books so I figured I'd give this a shot and he loves it. It makes me so happy that he's drawn to it since I expect he will want to get a soccer ball and trying to act out the pictures he's seen soon. I can't wait."

"My daughter has become an absolute soccer fanatic. I mean a big time fiend for all things involving a black and white ball you kick with your feet. For her birthday, I got her this book hoping to encourage a little more reading and a little less soccer. It's a story about a young girl who uses soccer to bring her estranged family together. All the usual good messages you want in a kid's book are here, family and helping and honesty, and it's a pretty sweet tale that I liked a lot when I went through it. So far, my daughter likes it too."

"This book is a good book from reading the description and the reviews. Its a great solution to the topic and they will love reading it. The title doesn't sound like it will be good but if given the chance they will find out that it's a great book."
