"Not sure about Chinese movies, but most people use this app to watch anime. The advantages of Viewster: it's free, no need to sign up. Disadvantages: it will show you a lot of ads, the content variety is limited. Try it and see if you can find what you are looking for. "

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that China’s highest-grossing film of all-time was released in 2017? Wolf Warrior 2 took that title after the movie has earned a staggering $874 million. The movie, which features Lead actor-director Wu Jing, is an action sequel about a former special-forces soldier fighting Western mercenaries in a war-torn African nation. A big factor that was seen to contribute to the movie’s box-office dominance was its “patriotic tone” which worked well with the nationalist sentiment among Chinese citizens, and with Beijing’s desire to play a leading role in the global stage. The movie has been subsequently submitted for the 2018 Oscars in the category of Best Foreign Language Film.

For the year 2017 alone, the year it was released, Wolf Warrior 2 has been credited to own more than 10 percent of China’s box-office, which is twice the amount earned by The Fate of the Furious, the second-highest-earning film in China that year. Internationally, the film has had received more mixed responses. On Metacritic for example, the film has gained a weighted average score of 44 out of 100, indicating "mixed or average reviews", while IMDb rates the film with a 6.2 out of 10 grade.
