"The writing and "voice" of this book get watered down through cheesy, aspirations and God-will-solve-everything placation. It definitely isn't the best Christian fiction and should be put at the bottom of the list if you are looking for a good series to get into. "

"I had a hard time embracing The Negotiator. The tired-out tropes were cliche and predictable. Unfortunately, I found this to be the exact opposite of a page-turner and it continues to gather dust on my reading table. It is destined for book donation box. "

"The Silent Governess is a wonderful novel that have a little bit of Christianity in it. It's mostly a historical fan fiction novel that is written with tons of humor, suspense, romance, betrayal, and family support. It has a main protagonist that I find fascinating since she had to be on the run after doing something horrible to a man who was hurting her mother. Throughout her adventure is filled with tons of hardship but with a happy ending. Would recommend."

I recently read it again and it is such a fabulous start to a great series. I would recommend reading the entire series to enjoy the full story. She is torn between her love of God and her love for a man. Some of the topics were eye opening to me, brutality and worse. This was a good purchase for me, very thought provoking."

"I didn't enjoy this book mainly because I am not religious. It seemed too fictitious to me to be considered good."

"Very good mass market paper back quality. The pages were easy to read. The only thing I do not like is the price but the overall reading experience was very good. I even wet the book and it was not damaged. Would buy again!"

"A book written from the perspective of a political prisoner of the Italian Fascists, about the population that had locked him up. A book written by a man in hiding – a Jew in 1945 - about the people he was hiding from. And one of the most moving, authentic, sympathetic looks into the human condition I’ve ever experienced. The author, Carlo Levi, was exiled to a remote Italian village for his anti-fascist views in 1935. This book is an account of his time in that remote region, and of its people and their experiences. He writes, emotionally and poetically, about the lives, conditions and basic human decency of the rural and impoverished citizens. I can’t put to words the depth and beauty of this book. All I can put down is a solid 5/5 recommendation. "

"I hate this. It's outdated, and overall, not appropriate for children. It's too extreme in its message. Too harrowing. Don't get this sort of thing for your kid unless you want them to have nightmares. For real!"
