"Loving the City shows us in several ways how culture and religion alike can result in bad things. Supposedly some religious leaders have even used the material in their own services which sort of adds to the intrigue in my opinion."

"This was a great read. I needed to get a book for my child that I felt was safe to read in terms of graphic language and sexual situations. According to my son, this book was very 'civilized' in the sense that none of what I just discussed was in the book. He said it was a very fun fantasy story to read, and even recommended that I myself read it."

"This is the last book in a series that was written by an author who was very eager to share his Christian beliefs and the good he had found in religion. Written as fantasy it is thinly disguised Christian allegory - my minister introduced me to these bookswhen I was 12! And they are classics for a reason - though you may want to note that the Christianity presented here is a bit strict in some regards, almost painfully so in the last (next to last?) chapter. But I still highly recommend them!"

"I really like this book and enjoyed it when I was a teenager. I have kept this book with me for all these years and now that I am forty I wanted to give it to my fourteen year old son for him to enjoy. He liked it okay but felt the writing style a bit too formal for him. Perhaps in a few more years he will enjoy it."
