"My daughter devoured Cascade, and begged for the next in the series. It's like the YA version of the Outlander books we all used to read and love. I would not say it's Christian, but it's nice that there is no swearing or sex."

"Robin Jones Gunn continues the saga of Christy and Todd in this book. Christy is in Europe, and Todd comes to visit her. If you love these characters, and are a completist, get this book. As for me, I found the characters was getting rather tiresome. Todd is dull and unromantic, and Christy is a whiny, whiny young woman. At this point, she should be maturing, I think, but nope! She's still a complaining little girl."

"Nice rework of a Grimm's fairy tale. The story is well written, and quite creative in its own way. That being said, I cannot recommend the rest of the books in the series, especially the second book (Enna Burning as there is a scene where she almost gets raped and is manipulated - not appropriate for a pre-teen and young teen audience which would be its readers."

"This is a book that is supposed to touch your heart, and make you feel things. There are moments where I felt myself get a bit emotional, but honestly, through the majority of the book, I found myself bored, and wanting to do something else. Not that great, and it's not very well written either. "

"I gave this book a read over at home though wasn't particularly swayed by the plot. It's a fairly straightforward love story though it has very strong christian overtones making the plot fairly predictable. The book was not terrible, though it definitely was not my favorite novel I've read this year. It's a good book to gift a young teenage girl, as the story is fairly pg-rated and would keep them entertained for the simple romantic plot. "
