"I like how this book instead of telling you that God is real and everything acknowledges that beginners may have some skepticism. I like how skeptics and their arguments are engaged and dealt with. It seems very respectful from the cursory review I did of the book."

"This book is pretty good for anyone that is really just starting their journey as a christian. It gives you years of experience that the author has and helps explain how the forces of evil try and wage war early on, on your mind, during your christian journey. It's very thought provoking and really makes a lot of sense. It also helps to know that you're not the only one that has been in that situation and that you can overcome all things through Christ."

I am not religious at all anymore but I was raised catholic. nothing really made sense to me and I questioned more and more as I got older. This stuff is pure hogwash"

"As a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I understand the serious need for our link to the supplier of everything. Empowerment today is such a buzz word; that connotes a personal advantage for ones SELF and the world sees this as success. This wonderfully written book draws us into a personal power that is not like anything we could achieve through self realization. Likewise, an in-depth search for ones self only leads to a superficial relationship with all those around us. The Lord has given us an insight into who He is, by dwelling within us, and guiding us on the path of righteousness for the betterment of everyone He puts in our path. One of the proofs for this has been "speaking in other tongues" . This gift has been shunned, feared, mishandled and throughly suppressed by those who have Never had a relationship with anyone but themselves. Many have never allowed God to do what He said he would do"send a comforter". The scriptures have been plainly laid out for the least of us so that we can gain an understanding of this gift to empower us to serve the most high God "Jesus our Lord". Please take a chance and step outside of the teachings of a world that would never want you to have enough "heart power" to love your enemy or speak to God when mere words could not express what your heart wants to say. To pray to God in a heavenly language that only He understands and has asked you to use for His glory and your edification. Read the Pastors book and and see that God has ordained Him to tell the world once again that gifts and callings are without repentance."

"Growing up, my household was the type that believed in Christianity, but we never went to church or did anything that I saw other people doing on TV. We were actually quite violent and abusive to each other. So, I decided to do something about that. After a few tries of going to church and feeling weird about it, a friend recommended this book to me. I picked it up. It looked like a Christianity self-help book, and I wasn't sure if this was going to get me going to church more often or act more Christ-like. But it did. The author did a good job in laying out what scriptures to keep in mind when I'm feeling irritated with my siblings, and how to help enrich the Fruits of my Spirit."

"I purchased this book in spite of some misgivings about the title and the expectations of finding KJV English in it. But it turns out to be much more than just a book about prayer. Lynne Hammond gently leads the reader to discover the joys of being led by the Holy Spirit day by day not only in prayer, but in all other areas of life. By allowing the Holy Spirit to take the leadership, prayer ceases to be a drudgery and becomes an adventure. Time and again the author cuts through ritual, religion and formality and simply encourages the reader to be honest with God about their feelings. She addresses a number of questions Christians may have, like: How can I hear God's voice? or, what is the purpose of speaking in tongues? and addresses them biblically and in such a way that the readers will want to go and try it out themselves. I will recommend this book to my friends"
