DID YOU KNOW?
As of October 2017, the Google Chromecast has sold 55 million devices worldwide. This is a 25 million increase from 30 million of July of the previous year. It has already put out three iterations and one audio-focused model since it launched. There is no denying the success that these devices have brought to Google. It's considered as one of the best streaming device solutions currently available. Add the fact that its implementation is so simple but works quite well. As well as its affordable sub-$50 price tag, it's easy to see why it's so popular. From streaming music and videos to casting locally-stored media, it does it all. Another way to take advantage of these devices is through games. There are some good games to play on Chromecast for both Android and iOS devices. Chromecast game app development has risen since the year after it launched. Some of the best games to play on Chromecast have made their way into this list.
To further solidify this, Google has been trying to make strides with game streaming. It is planning to launch a new service called "Yeti". Sony and Nvidia already have similar services in the form of PlayStation Now and GeForce Now. These services enable users to stream and play games without having to download them. The games get streamed and run off of the companies own servers. If Googles plans pan out, this would help them penetrate the gaming industry. This would only benefit us users and gamers alike.
