""Ozma of Oz" is one of several books in a series of works concerning the land of Oz - many people probably don't know there are actually quite a few books about this fictional world. This book actually takes place in another imaginary world, in which the characters are trying to return to the more familiar land of Oz. Children who are taken in by the movie and looking for more adventures with these characters will probably find this book to be ideal for them."

"Ugh! Just stick to the movie. This book isn't really that good - it has a lot of random, strange, and ultimately pointless diversions. I know the Oz tale is a beloved family story and movie, but the sequel just isn't necessary at all. I didn't honestly think it was that bad - it just wasn't good, either, and being "not bad" is a bit below my quality threshold."

"The Emerald City of Oz isn't a bad book. As a fantasy classic, it's worth reading. But I don't know if I'd call it a children's tale. It's somewhat dry and straightforward, boring even - maybe adult readers with a more refined palette will like it, but my children were simply bored by it and quit reading. It failed to hold their attention and, as such, I cannot recommend it as a children's book. Sorry!"

"The original story is by Kipling, and there are now two different Disney movies and books based on them. But at the core of all of them is a good story, the story of Mowgli, who grows up in the jungle with animals. As he grows up he has to come to grips with the fact that he is really becoming a man, and this is going to alter his relationship with the animals. All of the tension in the story arises from this. This is good stuff, and the animals all have personalities, but they stick to their different animal natures. I think it works, and in my experience kids like it and find it gives much to think about."

" I happened to read some of them and believe me , it was something extraordinary , out of the blue , which I have not read any where. The story was Influenced by Russian Renaissance painters . Beautiful illustrations. This book is for the very very young contrary to Tolstoy's any great literary value. The story was similar to the experience I had. A little boy goes to school because his older brother does and he wants to go. He succeeds in getting there and then succeeds in showing the teacher that he is ready for school. A poignant book about a young child's thirst for learning . I have never seen the depth and humanity achieved through the simple rendering and gentle colours of this book and its one of the finest children's books I have seen. In my family the children and I had presented it to them. "
