"Cloud9 is a polished online IDE. My husband is a programmer, and it looks a lot like what he uses when he works, so I think it would be really great for someone looking to sync their work across the cloud and work from multiple machines."

"I've tried out a handful of cloud coding IDEs and I think I would have to rank Codeanywhere up there in my top 5. Like most of these new cloud IDEs, Codeanywhere is a cloud development environment that I can setup and personalize for working on my projects. My favorite feature is the support of over 72 programming languages. This is nice for me. I think overall I felt the other options were a bit limited but it seems to do a good job with what I need it to do. I can work on the go without having to worry about where I am and if I have the proper tools setup because with Codeanywhere I can just access it and go to work."

"I tried Koding, and I just didn't get the point. I can deploy a VPS with python installed in less than an hour, for almost no cost at all. Anyone I want can have a log in, and we can run IDEs locally. Koding just struck me as a solution for a problem that doesn't exist. I didn't even finish my free trial period."

"Thinking about this, I would say that this is creative. This is great for the person that wants to develop their website and to add these features. The price is not bad for a month either. One thing that caught my eye was not having to install anything in order to access SourceLair. People with a chromebook and ipad can use this as well. I love that they gave those options."

"I'm on the fence about Stackhive. On the one hand, it supports Bootstrap and has a lot of useful features. You can design a website from your browser, so it's very convenient as well. You can try it out for free, and plans start from $8/month, with a 20% discount if you purchase a year subscription. On the other hand though, it seems like a knockoff of Webflow and suffers from being buggy and slow, at times."
